Payout Instructions
1. When a customer is ready to purchase a painting, please give them the 2-part perforated ticket that is with the painting. You will receive these completed tickets on Friday, December 5th when you arrive. You will also receive additional tickets as needed.
2. When a painting is purchased, place a red “Sold “sign on the piece. You will receive the red “Sold” signs on set up day.
3. The customer will take the entire 2-part perforated ticket to the cashier and pay for the art work.
4. At payout, the customer will be given one part of the 2-part perforated ticket. That part of the ticket will be punched with a star pattern. The customer will also be given an invoice showing that the art work has been purchased. The customer will return to your booth and give you the punched ticket. Do not release a piece unless the customer gives you the hole punched ticket indicating that they have paid for the piece. Please keep the punched ticket for your records and as a receipt for the pieces you have sold. At the conclusion of the show, you will receive a settlement statement.
5. All payments are to be made to Brentwood Academy.
6. The distribution of 2-part perforated tickets is as follows:
Ticket 1 to Brentwood Academy
Ticket 2 (hole punched) to the artists
7. If art is taken on approval, please mark the piece with a red “Sold” ticket and write “approval” on it. Give the customer the 2-part perforated ticket. They will go through the same procedure as if they were purchasing the piece. However, we will not charge their credit card or cash their check until the next day. We will get their address and necessary information.
8. For your benefit, as well as the benefit of all of our customers, we ask that art work not be taken out on approval before 7:30 pm on Friday and should be returned by 9:30 am on Saturday morning. On Saturday, art work can be taken out on approval in 2 hour intervals and between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 pm on Sunday. If the art work is not returned, we will process the purchase.
9. You should receive your payment within 2 weeks of the show.
